A solar controller is used in systems that require a solar panel to directly charge a battery without going through a control board. Must be used with Apollo gate openers that are being used in a solar situation. A solar charger is the key to system performance: * Efficiently uses the solar energy to fully recharge the battery. * Prevents overcharging and excessive gassing of battery. * Prevents undercharging and sulphation of battery. * Provides load management GateCrafters.com is the DIY factor.
